Book 2 - Chapter 16

As we shuffle like penguins through this snowy week, please enjoy another chapter of the Phoenix and the Enchanter.

This chapter was recorded in one of my favourite parks - Fish Creek Park. If ever you are in the city of Calgary and want to check out the second largest urban park in Canada, stop by any area of Fish Creek Park and enjoy the scenery.

Now please sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's reading of The Phoenix and the Enchanter - Chapter 16.

Book 2 - Chapter 14

As I drive through the mountains today on the trans-Canada highway, I am once again struck by the beauty of the mountains, of God's design, and the nature that speaks His name.

As you read through my books, it's important to me that you understand how incredible God is and the love his has for his children.

Please enjoy this week's reading of Chapter 14 of The Phoenix and the Enchanter.

Book 2 - Chapter 13

Chapter 13 is here! While recording many chapters I was using my wireless headphones to record; however, the sound quality is...sad. Upcoming, I will try to use my wired headphones more often to reduce poor sound quality.

I hope you enjoy Chapter 13 of the Phoenix and the Enchanter.

Book 2 - Chapter 12

Welcome to the 12th chapter of the Phoenix and the Enchanter! In today's episode, we take a brief walk down memory lane...for me anyway. Many times I incorporate aspects of my travels into my books, and this was no exception.

I hope you enjoy this week's reading of Chapter 12 of the Phoenix and the Enchanter.

And don't forget to stick around for the outtakes to watch my humiliation by nature.

Book 2 - Chapter 11

To be honest, this chapter posed some serious challenges both in writing and in recording. One of the reasons that I love writing fantasy fiction, is because I can make up whatever I want out of my head and it has to work because my brain says so. But when you bring that fantasy into the real world, suddenly you have to do a lot of research on what a location looks like, what the temperature might be like, what the plant-life is in the area, where are the rivers and streams, what kind of bugs occupy that location, and how do the people speak. It takes far more time to do the research, study the maps, and understand the landscape than it does to just write the chapter.

That being said, there are some issues with this recording. Hopefully you won't notice too much, but in the "Behind the scenes" section you'll see it clearly. :)

Without further ado, and because my pizza just arrived, please enjoy this recording of Chapter 11 of the Phoenix and the Enchanter.

Book 2 - Chapter 10

Well, it might be late in the day, but it is still being posted on a Friday! This video in particular makes me consider getting a microphone instead of using my AirPods. Could it be they were dying? Perhaps. Could it also be my computer was dying? Very likely. Either way, the sound quality isn't fabulous. But the setting is lovely.

Please enjoy this weeks reading of The Phoenix and the Enchanter - Chapter 10.
