Have you ever read a really good book? No, I'm not talking about my book, I mean the type that has you laughing, crying, and wondering why you never read a book like this before. I do a lot of reading, and one book I thought was beyond hilarious, was the Princess Bride. Sure, you've likely watched the movie, and it is amazing, but the book... that's on a whole other level. They are not the same. Books and movies are never the same and should not be treated the same. But it's worth the read.
However, it's not the type of book that I think, "I wish I could meet those characters." No, those are other books. When I was a kid, I read so many books where I wanted to meet the real character... the main character. He would pop up here or there and he would always make me feel safe, secure, and loved.
His name was Gaal, in The Archives of Anthropos.
His name was Gandalf, in The Lord of the Rings.
His name was Aslan, in The Chronicles of Narnia.
I always wanted to meet him...to befriend him. To have him tell me I was safe, that I was going to be okay. I wanted my own character to be there reminding the others that he was watching out for them.
His name is Jairo, in The Saga of Maior Natu.
I hope you enjoyed meeting him for the first time. Or, who knows, maybe you've met him before.
