Book 2 - Chapter 5

This has to be one of my favourite videos, not because the chapter is extraordinarily interesting (I hope it is a bit, but we're still building story on this one), but because I love this setting. It was so much fun to video here, although I do believe I ended up with a sliver in my pants and given the rocking motion of the video at one point, there is a likelihood I didn't notice a lizard somewhere on the computer.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the second... no wait, the fifth chapter of the Phoenix and the Enchanter, which is the second book in the Saga of Major Nature.

Just as an aside, I was chatting with a friend today and showing her around our church library and showed her my books. She had no idea I was an author. So if you want to know how great I am of an advertiser, just know that I have friends who don't know that I write. :) I put all of my advertising into the hands of my beloved readers.

With that, please enjoy Chapter 5.

Book 2 - Chapter 4

Happy Long Weekend! As you're preparing for the kids to return to school and settling back into regular routine, wouldn't it be nice to have something fun to add to the week of doldrums? There is!

I invite you to spend some time reading through my books! I recommend starting at book one, either watching the previous videos or reading it in old fashioned paperback. Then moving right along to book two. Eventually you will arrive at chapter 4 of the Phoenix and the Enchanter, the subject of today's video!

Please feel free to watch this chapter whenever you choose. Happy reading/listening!

Book 2 - Chapter 3

Check out this release of chapter 3 of the Phoenix and the Enchanter! In this chapter, keep your eyes open for the elusive hummingbird. I believe there may be a quick dip into the screen as he hums on by.

Enjoy this week's reading of the Phoenix and the Enchanter read by its very own author, me!

Also, is that picture adorable or what? So cute.

Book 2 - Chapter 2

Sometimes the most interesting part of recording one's own book is being reminded of the different chapters and how things go. You'd think after hours of writing, proof-reading, editing, re-reading, and reading once again, I would have the book memorized. But the reality is that after I'm done writing, it's like purging those ideas from my head and I can move on to new ones. So going back and reading is kind of fun, and a bit surprising at times.

Please enjoy this reading of the second chapter of the Phoenix and the Enchanter, mistakes and all. :)

Book 2 - Chapter 1

As promised, every Friday I am posting another chapter of Book 2 of the Saga of Maior Natu - The Phoenix and the Enchanter.

What's that you say? It's Saturday? No, I think you are mistaken. I wouldn't be a day late in posting, even if I were super busy and had family visiting from overseas. No, it is most definitely FRIDAY!

Please enjoy the first chapter of The Phoenix and the Enchanter, regardless of what day you feel like it may be. :D

Book 2 - Prologue

Hello to my lovely supporters of my writing career! As promised, I am beginning the lengthy process of recording Book 2 of the Saga of Maior Natu - The Phoenix and the Enchanter.

Admittedly, the recordings of the second book are slightly more chaotic and the sound may not be perfect, but considering this is a free project for everyone to enjoy, I'm not concerned and I hope you won't be either.

Canada Day Announcement!

What's going on?!

Let me tell you.

I am very excited to announce that there will be chapter recordings for The Phoenix and the Enchanter coming out shortly. Hopefully by the beginning of August, you will be able to hear Book 2 of the Saga of Major Nato read by yours truly, the author and publisher of said work, Lisa Sawatzky.

The recordings are done in a public space and have a significant number of interruptions, so you'll have to be patient with them, but I look forward to you joining me as we wander through The Phoenix and the Enchanter together.
